StoreStudio

The best App Store screenshot generator for Flutter and React Native teams

A cross-platform app ships to two stores, so its screenshots should come from one design that exports both. The tools split on whether you design the set by hand or capture it on every release.

Do you want screenshots captured automatically on every release?

Yes. Use fastlane. It captures screenshots from your UI tests and frames them, for free.

No. Use AppScreens. It makes both stores' sizes from one design and uploads them, for $99 a year.

The five tools worth considering

  • AppScreensBoth stores from one design, with uploadFree, or $99/yr
  • AppLaunchpadBoth stores on a small budgetFree, or $96/yr
  • AppMockUpBoth stores at no costFree
  • fastlaneScreenshots captured in CIFree
  • StoreStudioA separate App Store setFree, or $79/yr

AppScreens

AppScreens makes every iOS and Android size from one design and uploads the set to App Store Connect and Google Play. Pro costs $99 a year and localizes captions into 80+ locales. Its API is listed as coming soon, so for now it’s a design tool rather than a step in your pipeline.

AppLaunchpad

AppLaunchpad scales one design to every iOS and Android size, for $96 a year on Pro, which also adds an AI translator and more than 1,000 templates. The free plan includes 10 templates with limited exports, enough to try it on a real build first.

AppMockUp

AppMockUp is free, needs no account, and makes App Store and Google Play screenshots. For a team that wants one clean set for both stores without a subscription, it’s the simplest place to start.

fastlane

fastlane’s snapshot runs your iOS UI tests on each device and language and saves the screenshots, and screengrab does the same on Android. frameit then adds the device frame, a background and a title. It’s free, open source and fits a CI pipeline. Its docs note that framed images without titles can’t be uploaded to the App Store directly, so plan on titles.

Flutter apps don’t plug into snapshot directly. Capture with Flutter’s integration_test package, then frame the images with frameit. Expo teams can capture with Maestro, which Expo documents for its build workflows.

StoreStudio

StoreStudio makes App Store screenshots, not Google Play, and has no API, so it can’t be a cross-platform team’s main tool. It fits only when the iOS set gets its own design. Pro (the full editor) costs $79 a year, checks every slide before export, and exports every language and size in one ZIP.

What to do today

  1. Decide whether both stores share one design or each gets its own.
  2. Fill a demo account with realistic data, so every capture looks like real use.
  3. Capture the same screens on the largest iPhone and a recent Android phone, then build the set from those.

Common questions

Can one design cover both stores?
Yes. AppScreens and AppLaunchpad scale one design to every iOS and Android size, and AppMockUp makes sizes for both stores.
Does fastlane work with Flutter?
Not directly. Its snapshot tool runs iOS UI tests, so Flutter apps usually capture screenshots with the integration_test package, then frame them with frameit.
Can StoreStudio make Google Play screenshots?
No. StoreStudio makes App Store screenshots, not Google Play, and has no API. Use it only if the iOS set gets its own design.
