Plan your first five App Store screenshots

Lead with the main benefit, then show the first action, a useful detail, what makes your app different, and a reason to return. Pair each headline with a screen your app actually has. Write the plan below before opening the editor.

Plan your five screenshots

0 of 5 started

Write a short benefit and the actual app screen that proves it. These are planning prompts, not claims to copy. You can leave a slide blank and return to it later.

  1. 01 / 05

    Main outcome

What can someone accomplish with your app?

  2. 02 / 05

    First action

What can a new user do first?

  3. 03 / 05

    Useful detail

Which real feature makes the outcome easier?

  4. 04 / 05

    Difference

What can you show that sets the app apart?

  5. 05 / 05

    Next step

What helps someone keep using the app?

Studio opens a free Starter project and fills only the first headline. Your other notes stay in this tab; copy the plan if you want to keep them. The first headline is included in the Studio URL.

What to check before you export

  1. Use current app screens, and make each caption a claim that screen supports. Review the set at phone size.
  2. Confirm the device sizes your app needs in the screenshot-size guide. Apple's rules allow one to ten screenshots per size and language.
  3. After exporting, check each file's size, format and alpha channel before uploading to App Store Connect.

This five-slide sequence is a planning suggestion, not an Apple requirement. See Apple's App Store asset instructions for the upload rules.
