App Store screenshot sizes at a glance

• iPhone app: Apple names the medium Dynamic Island display as required. The portrait sizes are 1206 × 2622 and 1179 × 2556. You can supply a matching set or review how App Store Connect scales another display class when your interface is consistent.
• iPad app: Add a 2064 × 2752 set for the required 13-inch iPad display. Capture the iPad interface if it differs from your iPhone app.
• iPhone Duo: Apple lists 1398 × 2034 for the outer display and 2007 × 2853 for the inner display. These become required in April 2027 for apps using the iOS 27.1 SDK or later; Duo uploads can currently display an optimization badge. Studio now has a separate design canvas for each display. Start an outer-display design or start an inner-display design, then check the exports below.
• Each size and language: Supply one to ten PNG or JPEG screenshots without an alpha channel. Check the exact upload wells for your app in App Store Connect.

Choose your starting sizes

Studio now starts a new iPhone project at 1206 × 2622, an exact size for Apple’s required medium Dynamic Island display. The free plan exports this size at full resolution. You can choose the 6.9-inch canvas instead if your app needs a large-display design; Pro adds other supported sizes and languages. Review each additional render at phone size, especially caption wrapping and the device frame.

Studio designs the 6.3-inch and 6.9-inch iPhone classes directly. Its 6.5-inch sizes are derived from the 6.9-inch canvas in Pro; review the frame, crop and caption wrapping at each size before uploading.

Prepare the required medium-display iPhone size

Apple lists 1179 × 2556 and 1206 × 2622 for iPhones with a medium Dynamic Island display, with landscape versions in the opposite orientation. Its specification names this display among the required sizes and also documents scaling from other display classes when the interface is consistent. A new free Studio project starts at 1206 × 2622; Pro also exports 1179 × 2556 from the same design. Check how App Store Connect fills the medium-display well before submitting.

Understand Apple’s requirements

Apple also marks the 6.5-inch class as required when no 6.9-inch screenshots are provided, and the 13-inch iPad class as required for iPad apps. Its specification describes how screenshots can be scaled between display classes. Apple’s asset instructions explain where to upload or review a size-specific set.

Check your exported files

Use PNG or JPEG, without transparency or an alpha channel. Provide one to ten screenshots for each size and language set. Show your app’s current interface and replace placeholder content before submission.

Use the screenshot upload checker to check a single language’s files against the required iPhone and iPad displays, optional Duo displays, dimensions and file format. It runs in your browser and flags common PNG alpha channels. It recognizes Apple-listed sizes separately from those Studio exports. A passing result does not check screenshot content or guarantee App Review approval. Apple also says that more than half of each device’s screenshots must show the app in use; review that manually for each set.

Set an optional exact display size, such as 1320x2868, to catch a missing direct upload file in any language before release. Files stay on your runner. The check reads file headers rather than decoding images or reviewing their content; use the browser validator above to inspect individual files visually. Apple may scale another supported size when the interface is consistent, so choose required direct sizes for your own App Store Connect wells.

For example, Apple lists 1206 × 2622 for the 6.3-inch iPhone and 1668 × 2420 for the 11-inch iPad. Studio exports the first size directly, but not the 11-inch iPad size. The validator identifies both accurately. Check App Store Connect for the classes and scaled previews available to your app.
