The best Previewed alternatives

Previewed is a good tool, and for 3D renders and promo videos it's still the right one. Below is who should stay, and what each alternative does better.

Stay with Previewed if you want 3D device angles, an animated promo video, or one payment instead of a subscription.

StoreStudio

Previewed’s free plan exports at 720p and asks for an attribution credit. StoreStudio’s free plan exports five slides at full App Store size, with no watermark and no account. The set below uses the Starter pack, which is part of the free plan.

Pro (the full editor) is $79 a year, against $228 for Previewed Pro. It adds every template pack, captions in 18 languages, and every export size in one ZIP. Before you export, it checks each slide for a missing screenshot, low contrast and a headline that runs long in another language. StoreStudio makes App Store screenshots, not Google Play, and has no 3D renders or video. If those are why you use Previewed, stay.

AppScreens

AppScreens writes captions with AI, localizes into 80+ locales on Pro, and uploads a finished set to App Store Connect and Google Play. Pro is $99 a year and includes 3D frames.

Its pricing page doesn’t mention video. For an animated promo clip, Previewed is still the tool.

AppLaunchpad

AppLaunchpad Pro is $96 a year for unlimited exports, more than 1,000 templates and AI translation, for both stores. Previewed Pro costs $228 a year for unlimited exports. AppLaunchpad’s pricing page lists a mockup generator but no video.

AppMockUp

AppMockUp is free, needs no account, and makes App Store and Google Play screenshots. Like Previewed, it does panoramic backgrounds. Its site doesn’t mention 3D renders or video.

Figma

A free Figma Starter plan and a community template give you full control over every slide. The cost is time: you size, frame and export every language yourself.

Is Previewed free?
Previewed Lite is free, with unlimited 2D exports at 720p and an attribution credit. That's below the size the App Store asks for. Plus is $9.99 once for 10 exports with 3D and video.
Does StoreStudio make 3D mockups or videos?
No. StoreStudio makes App Store screenshots, not 3D renders or video. If you need both, make the screenshot set in StoreStudio and the promo clip in Previewed.
Can I make App Store screenshots for free without a watermark?
Yes. AppMockUp is free and needs no account. StoreStudio's free plan exports five full-resolution slides in one language without a watermark or an account.
