StoreStudio vs Figma
Figma is free and can make any screenshot you can design. The right choice depends on how much of the sizing, framing and exporting you want to do yourself.
Pick Figma if you or your designer already work in it, want a fully custom look, or need screenshots for Google Play, Mac or other platforms too.
Pick StoreStudio if you'd rather not size, frame and export every language yourself, and want checks that catch a long caption or a missing translation before you upload.

Where Figma is the better choice
Figma has no limits on layout, size or platform. If you already design in it, a free community template gets you most of the way, with full control over every detail and no subscription.
The same file can hold your Google Play, Mac and website images, and a team can work in it together. StoreStudio makes App Store screenshots, not Google Play, Mac or landscape sets.
What Figma leaves to you
The cost is time. You set each frame to an App Store size, place the device bezels, and export every language by hand. When a caption runs long in German or a font can’t display Japanese, you find out by looking at each slide. The work repeats with every update and every language you add.
Where StoreStudio is the better choice
StoreStudio has the App Store sizes and device frames built in. Pro (the full editor), at $79 a year, adds captions in 18 languages, typed or imported from a CSV or JSON caption file. It exports every language and size in one ZIP.
Before you export, it checks each slide for the wrong export size, a missing translation, low contrast, a headline that runs long in a language and a font that can’t display Japanese. You still write every caption yourself.
Suite (Pro plus Listing), at $119 a year, adds research for the store page: where your app ranks for a search, whether Apple suggests that search, and drafts of the subtitle and keywords.
See how research becomes your next update
Choose a search phrase to see where the app appears, whether Apple suggests the search, and how strong page one is. Then try the phrase in a subtitle. Saved results for real apps, right here.
